Russian Carbon Fund and Evercity hosted energy blockchain hackathon

From November 9 to November 11, Evercity and Russian Carbon Fund hosted Energy Blockchain Hack - the first blockchain hackathon for energy markets in Russia held within international Climathon initiative. 

During 48 hours best Russian blockchain developers supported by energy market leaders such as NP “Market Council” , strategic partners Schneider Electric  and Hevel Solar and partners  EDF (Électricité de France) and “Rosseti” created prototypes for for the phase transition in Russian and international energy industries.

Developers demonstrated high level of professionalism and created working prototypes. As one of achievements, a team from Saint Petersburg presented the first prototype in the world for green certificates on blockchain.

Technical support was provided by renowned blockchain companies Parity, Airalab, DAO IPCI and Onder. They lead a series of workshops for participants during the event and provided their technologies to help solve the cases.

Mentors, partners and participants enjoyed the event. Upon their request, Evercity and Russian Carbon Fund decided to host hackathons every year: the next one will be dedicated to smart sustainable cities.
