MGIMO and Russian Carbon Fund signed an agreement on cooperation

On November 20, MGIMO and NPO "Russian Carbon" signed an agreement on strategic partnership and collaboration.

Russian Carbon Fund was founded in 2011 by Alexey Shadrin, a graduate of International Energy Policy and Diplomacy Institute (MIEP MGIMO). Since then the organization has become one of the leading Russian knowledge centers in sustainable development. It brings together society, business, experts and authorities for preserving Russia’s natural heritage and Russia’s transition to new technology-based economy.

Collaboration aims to create common ground for promoting the ideas of sustainable development, green economy, environmental management in business development, both in Russia and abroad. The Final of Climatron on ECOTECH-2017 will become one of the first joint projects of MGIMO and Russian Carbon Fund. 

Rector of MGIMO-University Anatoly Torkunov emphasized the importance of strategic initiatives in the area of the environment involving students of School of Applied Economics and Commerce.
