Ecopoint – a summer ecocentre in the park of Artyom Borovik

Ecopoint is a new format of social space organized by Russian Carbon Fund with support of the program of social investments “Hometown” of PJSC Gazprom Neft. The goal of the project is to improve quality of life in the region by ameliorating urban environment, increasing attractiveness of park areas, broadening opportunities for self-realization of citizens and creating conditions for comfortable living.

During this month, experts in different spheres of ecology and sustainable development have given a series of lectures to local people on separate collection of waste, household energy saving, ecodriving, solar energy, environmental businesses and green entrepreneurship, professions and cities of the future.

"Every Russian city, every region of a city needs an Ecopoint. It is a people- and eco-friendly space, which naturally fits into the landscape. Its objective is to bring together citizens, representatives of business and authorities, who can jointly develop a sustainable development strategy for our country. We invited leading experts in modern-day ecological knowledge who will share practices of healthy, cost efficient and ecological lifestyle with the residents of Maryino region".

Modern environmental infrastructure was created, including containers for separate waste collection, bike parking and solar panel-based chargers, was installed on the territory.
